Best Brews: Surf and Turf

Summer is just around the corner and so is a very important celebration… Father's Day! Honor Dad on this special occasion and let him enjoy a delicious meal paired with great beers!

There is just no better combination right? We wanted to make sure you covered all your bases for the perfect outdoor entertaining experience surrounded by amazing friends and family.

For this Father’s Day surf & turf foodie celebration, we chose a mouthwatering skirt steak with the Argentinian-inspired Classic Chimichurri Sauce. Also, some Garlic Parsley Butter Shrimp that are to die for! The best part comes now – beer! We’ve selected three Californian beers, each one possessing a unique and appealing taste that pairs fantastically with our chosen menu!

First, we have the Great White Beer, a light-bodied craft with a fruity-coriander and orange peel subtle taste and aroma. This beer has a secret blend of herbs from Humboldt County that gives it a very special character.

Next, we chose the popular Lagunitas IPA. This beer is medium-bodied, hoppy, and full of flavor with notes of spice, roasted malts, caramel, and citrus fruit. This is Lagunitas’ unique version of an ancient style. It is made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts.

Last but not least, Firestone Walker 805, a light-bodied, balanced, grainy and citrusy American Blonde Ale. California produced Buckwheat honey lends a subtle sweet accent to this smooth, easy drinking ale. Honey lends a new and interesting dimension to beer, and this one goes well with lighter fare and is great on hot summer days.

We hope you enjoyed our best brews: surf and turf edition and have a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day!
