Wine Pairing

Baked Meatballs & Red Wine

Where are all the red wine lovers at? After we created, tested, and tasted the mouthwatering punch of flavors from our Baked Meatballs recipe, we knew a wine pairing needed to be done!

Where are you red wine lovers at? After we created, tested and tasted the mouthwatering punch of flavors and hypnotizing aromas from our Baked Meatballs, we knew a wine pairing needed to be done! We couldn’t let this opportunity slip through our fingers to finally pair a red wine and immerse ourselves in the moment with this satisfying new food adventure.

We decided to go with the Seghesio Venom from the Seghesio Family Vineyardswho have been part of the vibrant history and fabric of Sonoma, CA for over 130 years. If you are looking for a true Italian grape, grown with expertise and care to craft a premium wine, do not look any further. This delicious wine will sweep you off your feet! Wine Spectator tasters have given the Seghesio Venom over 90 points across the board. For those of you who are not quite familiar with this scoring system, this means the Venom wine from the Seghesio winery is outstanding and also comes highly recommended by the experts… us!

The full bodied Seghesio Venom has a surprisingly smooth touch on the palate, silky finish with earthy undertones and subtle hints of spice and herbs. This makes it the ideal companion and perfect complement to our Italian-inspired Baked Meatballs. The captivating aroma of all the spices, the melted cheese, the tomatoes contrasting the freshness, and the lightness of North Shore Living® Oregano ties everything together.

Who else feels like a professional chef just by incorporating some fresh herbs into your culinary creations? We definitely do! Not only do we feel real pride in the food we make, we feel both empowered and inspired to continue cooking using the freshest ingredients. Let’s not forget about our super light and healthy Lemon Oregano Vinaigrette which is the top accompaniment to a fresh side salad!

Alright! Enough talking…. Let’s get cooking!
