Creamy Chicken and Chardonnay

We want to share our love for good wine, so we have decided to pair our delicious recipes for the month of August with a chardonnay from Sonoma, CA. A perfect combination: Creamy Chicken and Mushrooms and Smashed Crispy Potatoes paired with a Bevan Chardonnay Sonoma Coast Reserve 2014. A wine and food pairing can really elevate your dining experience to the next level. If you are a wine lover like we are, then we think you will love reading up on this Chardonnay and finding out just what about it makes it pair so perfectly with this recipe.

Check out our delightful creamy chicken and mushrooms and smashed crispy potato recipes. We sincerely appreciate the simplicity of both of these recipes as well as the aroma and flavor profiles. Whether you want to indulge your guests’ palate during a special occasion or you just need a go to recipe in the middle of a busy week, these recipes have you covered! The wine that we have chosen to pair with the chicken and potatoes plays on every note of flavor and complements the recipes chosen to perfection.

The Bevan Chardonnay Sonoma Coast Reserve 2014 is a rich, complex, full-bodied Chardonnay with gorgeous scents of apple, cream, jasmine, and gentle spice notes. This wine definitely impresses for its balance and overall class. A rich creamy finish makes this Chardonnay as good as it gets! What we love about Bevan Cellars is that they specialize in creating vineyard-designated wines that maximize balance and texture. Not only that, Russell Bevan and his team are very involved in the entire process, carefully selecting every grape that goes into their wines.

If you are not a wine expert, here are some basic tips to help you get started! Don’t forget to hold your white wine glass by the stem as to not warm your wine with your body temperature. Another wonderful way to experience all of what a wine has to offer is by swirling the wine in your glass and breathing in the amazing aroma that is released. It may feel silly but seventy percent of your taste comes from smell, give it a try!

We hope you like this combo as much as we did!
