What to do with Thanksgiving Leftovers

Thanksgiving is right around the corner! It’s almost time to dive into all of those delicious holiday meals. Even though we love to eat, do we ever really finish it all? Most of the time we don’t and unfortunately a lot of the amazing food we just made goes to waste. Each Thanksgiving, Americans throw away around $293 million worth of uneaten food. Now that’s a lot of good food gone to waste.

It’s understandable that we all don’t want to eat turkey sandwiches for weeks after Thanksgiving, but we also don’t want to waste that much food (or money). If we do try to eat all our leftovers, there are some great benefits! You don’t have to pack the kids’ lunches for a few days, it makes preparing dinner a lot easier since half the work is already done, and most of the time the leftovers taste better than the first day you ate it. Here are a few different Thanksgiving leftover recipes that will help you use up the rest of that turkey.

Who doesn’t love a classic chicken noodle soup? Well, for Thanksgiving leftovers, try our Turkey Noodle Soup! This is a great way to finish up that turkey and it’s perfect for those chilly nights!

Make it a pizza night and serve up some Cranberry BBQ and Turkey Pizza. Pizza nights are always fun for the kids (and parents, too) and this lets the spirit of Thanksgiving carry on for another day.

Now, the typical leftover turkey sandwich is a hit but our Thanksgiving Leftover Club Sandwich will knock your socks off. This is a great sandwich to take to work for lunch or to pack in the kids’ lunches for school.

So we’ve got lunch and dinner covered, but what about breakfast? Don’t worry, friend! Our Thanksgiving Stuffing Eggs Benedict is perfect for eating leftovers on the weekend.

Hopefully these recipes will help you find a way to use up all your delicious Thanksgiving food this year! We hope you have a wonderful holiday full of good food and great memories.

Happy Cooking!
