Spaghetti Sauce & Meatballs

A simple classic yet oh so good with fresh basil.

Directions:

In a large saucepan over medium heat, saute onion in the olive oil until translucent, then add in garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in tomatoes, salt, sugar, and bay leaf. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 90 minutes.

While your sauce is cooking, put together your meatballs. In a large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients. Mix well and form into 12 balls. Cover and store in refrigerator.

Once your sauce has simmered for 90 minutes, stir in tomato paste and pepper, then add the meatballs and continue simmering for another 30 minutes. Finally, stir in basil and serve over your choice of pasta. Enjoy!
