Baked Fries & Cilantro Dip

The perfect example of homemade perfection, the ultimate fries.

Directions:

To make the baked fries, preheat your oven to 425° F. Prepare a baking sheet by lining with foil and then placing a cooking rack over. The cooking rack will help your fries cook evenly and you won’t have to flip them. If you do not have a rack, simply line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil to prevent sticking.

Cut your potatoes into fries, making sure they are all equal size. Place in a bowl of cold water to soak for a few minutes.

Drain the water and dry the fries with a paper towel. Once dry, toss the fries with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Lay them on the baking sheet, either on the rack or directly, in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes depending on how crispy you like your fries. If using a sheet with no rack, at 10 minutes, flip all the fries over. Remove from oven and toss fries with cilantro.

While your fries are baking, start on your cilantro dip. Simply place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Serve with your cilantro fries. Enjoy!

Pro Tip: This dipping sauce saves great! Also, try using it as a spread on these shrimp burgers.
