Production Inventory Specialist

North Shore Living Herbs has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Production Inventory Specialist supporting our Growing Team. In this role, you will work in the production department and be responsible for the daily use of our crop inventory system. The position will conduct training for employees, review data input, ensure tasks are being completed on schedule and will assist the growing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Training
    • Train new users
    • Coach users on best practices
    • Communicate to Lead any gaps in training including suggestions for training topics.
  • Enforce Inventory Process
    • Ensure all users are properly using the system.
    • Check barcodes daily throughout the facility to ensure information is correct.
    • Communicate suggested process changes to Lead.
    • Print and follow up on undone tasks from previous day.
  • Grow Times and Growth Stages
    • Daily check lots to ensure plants are moving through the system as scheduled.
    • Communicate deviations from the growing schedule to the growing team.
  • Assist Growing Team
    • Assist in splitting lots for production.
    • Communicate extra sow sticks that need to be printed.
    • Adjust grow times as growers request.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred with an emphasis in agriculture, plant sciences, plant biology.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Competent with IOS devices
  • Computer literate
  • Familiar with Barcode scanners

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: 

  • Fluctuating hours depending on production needs.  Anywhere from 20-40 hours per week.
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Saturday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Tools and Equipment: 

  • All IOS devices
  • Microsoft Surface
  • Computer (Understanding of Chrome browser)
  • Barcode Scanners

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, and use hands and fingers. This position requires the employee to be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English and Spanish. In addition, the employee must be able to hear and have color vision.
